TabBuzz privacy policy
In effect from 29 October 2026
TabBuzz is a browser extension that reminds you to come back to a web page at a time you choose. This page says what it keeps, where, and when anything leaves your browser.
In short
- Your reminders, notes and screenshots stay in your browser.
- TabBuzz has no account, no server of its own, no analytics and no ads.
- Something leaves your browser only if you set it up: your settings through Chrome's own sync, and calls to a web address you type in yourself.
What TabBuzz keeps, and where
- Reminders: for each page you set a reminder for, its address, title, the time you picked, the repeat you chose and the note you wrote. Kept in your browser's extension storage.
- Screenshots: only when you tick Screenshot. Kept in your browser's storage, or as a file in a folder on your computer that you pick.
- Settings: kept in your browser.
To mark tabs that have a reminder, TabBuzz compares the addresses of your open tabs with your reminders. This happens in your browser; the addresses of other tabs are not kept or sent anywhere.
When something leaves your browser
- Settings sync, off unless you turn it on: "Use the same settings in all my Chrome profiles" stores your settings in Chrome's sync, under your own Google account. Your reminders are not synced.
- Calls to your address, off unless you set them up: if you save a web address in Settings › Calls to your address, TabBuzz sends it the reminder's page address, title, times, and, if you switch them on, its note and screenshot, when a reminder is added, fires or is removed. They go to that address and nowhere else. What happens to them there is up to the service you chose.
TabBuzz sends nothing to its maker or to anyone else. Your data is never sold, never used for advertising, and never used for anything but reminding you.
Your control
- Delete one reminder, or all of them, in TabBuzz's settings (Your data › Delete all); screenshots can be deleted on their own.
- Export your reminders as a file, and import them again.
- Removing the extension deletes everything it kept in your browser. Screenshot files in a folder you picked stay there until you delete them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version is posted here with its date, and the extension's store listing is updated to match.
